Union Foam S.p.A. participated, in collaboration with S.T.E.A.M. S.r.l. of Pomezia, for the supply of the thermal insulation materials needed to insulate the ducts and air conditioning units in the new wing of the Airport, commissioned by the Aeroporti di Roma company.
 
The reaction to fire characteristics of the materials specified by the Ministerial Decree 17/07/2014 (Fire prevention technical regulation for the design, construction and operation of airport activities with a covered surface area accessible to the public exceeding 5,000 m²) were required to meet Euroclass B-s1,d0.
 
The insulating material supplied was Eurobatex SC Glastec, with characteristics adhering to the aforementioned DM and in compliance with the insulation thicknesses required by law 10/1991.
